Microsoft® Transforms its Concept of Surface®

The Microsoft Surface Tablet

Microsoft® announced the launch of the new Microsoft® Surface® tablet on June 18, meaning big changes for the tablet marketplace and for their pre-existing tactile table, formerly named Samsung SUR40 with Microsoft® PixelSense™. The Samsung SUR40 table released earlier this year remains a vital piece of technology for Microsoft®, and is now renamed Samsung SUR40 with Microsoft® Pixelsense. The Samsung SUR40 with Microsoft® Pixelsense is a groundbreaking device in the world of large format tactile technology, and the new Microsoft® Surface® will complement it as an incredible addition to the tablet market.

The new Microsoft® Surface® tablets will have two operating systems, RT (ARM powered), and Windows® 8 Pro. This tablet is not just an ordinary touchscreen; it features an integrated keyboard base for ease, as well as a USB port and stand. The beautiful high resolution screen is 10.6 inches, built from Gorilla Glass, and features a pen interface. The platform lends itself perfectly to the type of application development AFTER-MOUSE.COM specializes in.

AFTER-MOUSE.COM has been developing with Windows® 8 since its pre-release in September 2011, and our experience makes us especially poised for application development on the new Microsoft® Surface®. Our apps function across all Windows® 7 and 8 platforms, and Samsung SUR40 with Microsoft® PixelSense™. AFTER-MOUSE.COM is excited to add the new Microsoft® Surface® to our portfolio for integration with all our success stories using Samsung SUR40 with Microsoft® Pixelsense™ and Windows® 7 and 8. The RT tablet will be released in time for the holidays with the Windows® 8 powered version following shortly after.
